Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences
(INFORMS)
Applied Probability Society
(APS) will hold its 12th Conference on June 23-25, 2004 at
the
Peninsula Palace Beijing
in Beijing,
China. IMPORTANT:
The Conference, originally scheduled for June 25-27, 2003
but postponed for 12 months, will honor
all abstracts that have already been accepted.
Authors who wish to update their abstracts should do
so as soon as possible, and no later than February 27, 2004.
New submissions are also welcome; refer to the guidelines
in the
Call for Submissions.
New Venue:
The Conference venue has also been
changed to the Peninsula Palace Beijing, a top
hotel situated in the very center of Beijing, between the main shopping
areas of Wangfujing and Dongdan, within easy walking distance of
the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square and the
Museum of Chinese History. Refer to
the

The Applied
Probability Society is a subdivision of the INFORMS. The
Society is concerned with the application of probability
theory to systems that involve random phenomena. The Society
promotes the development and use of methods for the
improvement of evaluation, control, and design of these
systems. Our members include practitioners, educators,
and researchers with background in business, engineering,
statistics, mathematics, economics, computer
science, and other applied sciences.
