The Peninsula Palace Beijing

June 26, 2004. The hotel guarantees that the room rates offered
to conference participants shall be lower than any other rates
offered to guests directly by the hotel on the same dates.

deadline, May 22, has passed, we have
now negotiated with the Palace Hotel so that they
will still honor the special room rates, subject to
room availability, for another week or so. In case you
have not made your reservation yet, this is an
excellent opportunity to do so. It

strongly urge all participants to stay with the Peninsula Palace. In order
to get the special rates for guest rooms and for other conference
facilities, APS is required to guarantee the hotel a certain minimal
room-nights occupied by conference participants. Hence, by staying at the
Peninsula Palace, you are helping the APS, as well as yourself.
How to get to the hotel
The hotel is 30
kilometers from Beijing International Airport and 2 kilometers
from Beijing Railway Station.
The easiest way to the hotel from the
airport is to take a taxi, which costs about RMB150 (=US$18).
